Debbie Wood is leading this event.
On December 16th we will accompany Veterans to Look Park to ride the train & see the light display and indoor train activity.  Return to cottage with them and prepare cocoa and cookie/dessert.  Present quilts to all women.  Desiree and Marge have agreed to attend with Debbie.
In 2009 the Zonta Club of Quaboag Valley began a relationship with women veterans sheltered at a federal VA campus in Leeds, MA. The established transitional VA program entitled “Soldier On” houses 12 women. Monthly visits by club members to participate with the women in an activity of their choice has allowed the club to bear witness to the struggles the women have overcome to improve their financial, educational, vocational situations. Using our individual and collective Zontian qualities we gift these women monthly with personal networking and social activities that support their goals.
