Fill a Bag with Hope Project

Membership is organizing a hands-on event for February 8th where we will fill new or gently used pocketbooks / backpacks / totebags with toiletries, snacks, and other personal items, along with notes of encouragement.

The filled bags will be distributed by representatives from Dress for Success, the YWCA, Women’s Shelter Companeras, HAP Housing programs working with women in transitional situations. Other suggestions are welcomed.

Also, we think this will be a great night to showcase the types of projects that Zonta accomplishes locally and create an interest, so make a list of people we could invite who would be interested in a more hands-on approach.   Remember, the flyer for this event is on Facebook so feel free to share with your circle of friends.
